Etal Crossbody Bag – Handcrafted Leather & Vintage Huipil in a Bold, Rounded Design
Make a statement with the Etal Crossbody Bag, a striking blend of heritage and modern design. The name “Etal” means “to manifest” in K’iche’ (Quiché), reflecting the intention behind every handcrafted detail.
This rounded rectangle crossbody features vintage huipil—a traditional Mayan blouse textile—on both sides, framed by buttery soft, locally sourced leather. Each huipil is in vintage condition, making every bag one-of-a-kind with its own character, color, and texture—imperfections and all. It’s the kind of charm you simply can’t replicate in a factory.
The bag is fully lined with second-hand corte, the traditional woven skirt fabric worn by Indigenous women in Guatemala. With a top zip closure, adjustable strap, and a back zipper pocket, the Etal is both beautiful and functional for daily wear or travel.
Features:
- Ethically made with locally sourced leather & vintage huipil on both sides
- Fully lined with upcycled corte fabric
- Top zipper closure and back zip pocket for security
- Adjustable strap for custom fit as crossbody or shoulder bag
- Handmade in collaboration with a Guatemalan leather artisan
Whether you're manifesting a new adventure or just heading out for the day, the Etal Crossbody carries your essentials with purpose and style.
